
Test cricket is a game in which the bowlers attempt 20 or more wickets. The winning team is the one whose fourth innings bests the target. Therefore, batting teams want to keep their batters in the game for as long and as possible to score more runs. However, bowling teams don't like long acts so they aim to get their batsmen out as fast and cheaply as possible.

Steven Smith is Australia's most renowned test batsman. After a disappointing start to the career, Smith has made a remarkable comeback. He has twice been named ICC Test Player-of-the Year. He is also the third-fastest Test batsman to reach 22 centuries.

Sachin Tendulkar can be considered one of the greatest test cricketers in the history. His legacy spans generations. He has been awarded numerous awards. He is a legendary Test and ODI batsman and was voted the second greatest player by Wisden Cricketers’ Almanack in 2002. In 2010, he won the Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy for cricketer of the year at the ICC awards ceremony. He also won all the major Indian sporting awards, including the Arjuna award, the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna and the Padma Shri.

Inzamam Hassain is one Pakistan's most successful test cricketers. He is the second most prolific Pakistani batsman with over 50 centuries and fiveties. He also has the third highest average score in matches won tests. This remarkable record includes nine consecutive halves against England. His career has been plagued by controversy. He was subject to controversy during his time with Pakistan.
Joe Root
Joe Root is a test batsman who has made some amazing scores in international cricket. In the fifth Test against Australia, Root scored the highest run total of 68 runs. Root struggled in the second innings scoring just 11 runs out of a total 339 runs. Despite his poor start in the series, Root was able to end it as a winner as he finished with 339 runs and 3 wickets.
Shivnarine Chanderpaul
Shivnarine Chauderpaoul, a West Indian batsman, made her debut against England in 1993-1994. She was then the youngest West Indies Test player. She was also Elquemedo Wilett's first teenager player for the team, in 1972-73. She was a petite batsman and stood out among the sea of West Indian cricketers.

Ab de Villiers
AB de Villiers is one the greatest test batsmen in all of cricket. He is a superb batsman and has crushed the West Indies cricketers to all areas of the ground. In the Indian subcontinent 2011 World Cup, he scored his tenth ODI century. He was the only South African batsman who scored two tons at a World Cup. In 2011, he was named the limited-overs skipper of South Africa. He scored a match-winning 160* after scoring 353 runs.
