Jacques Kallis has been the top run-scorer in South African test history. He is also one of the most outstanding all-rounders in South African cricket history. In 1995, he played his first test against England and went on to score 133289 runs. He has also taken 292 wickets in his 18-year career.
Sachin Tendulkar
Sachin Tendulkar is Test cricket's greatest-ever run-scorer. His incredible record of 15,921 test runs is extraordinary. He broke Sunil Gavaskars previous record, which was 34 centuries. Ricky Ponting, Brian Lara, and Ricky Ponting are also notable century scorers. Tendulkar is also one of the youngest players to score a century, having done so in 1990. He was just 16 when he set the record.
His match against Australia in 2004 was the best Test match. It contained 25 fours and three sixes. Tendulkar's 15921 runs in 200 Test matches ranked him at the top of the list. He is the only cricketer who has scored more than 100 runs in a single match.
Alastair Cook
Alastair cook is the English cricketer who has scored the most runs. He played 159 Tests with England, surpassing Graham Gooch (with 8900 runs). The England batsman is also ranked equal 10th among Test century scorers, having scored 38 centuries in all formats.

He has been a great batsman because of his consistency and scoring rate. He ran more innings than any other Englishman in his time and was given a knighthood at age 33. He holds the record for most Test caps in one year.
Ricky Ponting
Ricky Ponting, Australia's Test player with the highest runs-scoring record, is the most successful. He has more than 6,000 runs and is perhaps the most uncompromising player his generation. He has been playing the game for over 6,000 runs and is considered one of the nation's best players. While he has broken many records, his leadership style has been widely criticised.
Ricky Ponting holds a record of winning international matches. His team has won in 220 of his games. Graeme Smith has 154 games. Both Ponting and Sangakkara scored more runs than 10,000 in Tests. Ponting's ODI record in Tests is also impressive. His record of 165 Test wins by Ponting in ODI is second in history. He also has four World Cup finals.
Jonny Bairstow
Born on 26 September 1989, Yorkshire cricketer Jonny Bairstow plays for England in the One Day International format. He also represents Yorkshire in domestic cricket. In the past, he played for the Sunrisers Hyderabad as well as the Punjab Kings in Indian Premier League. Bairstow made his debut in the 2013-14 season, replacing Matt Prior. Bairstow took six wickets during the series and performed well behind the bowl but did not reach his first century until the fourth test, when he got out by Gautam Gambhir. He went on to make a total of 49 runs in the series.
Bairstow reached his maiden Test century in UAE in 2015 when England were playing Pakistan. In the first Test, he scored 23 runs but play was stopped because of bad lighting. He scored 43 runs during the second Test, and 79 the last innings. England lost the series by 2-0.

Mark Craig
New Zealand's Mark Craig has the record for most run-scorers of Test cricket history. The off-spinner scored 58 runs in 77 deliveries, including nine fours as well as a six. It was one of most exciting innings in the history.
Craig made an international debut in June 2014 against West Indies, Kingston. He was named Player-of-the-Match for his bowling performances and hit a six on his very first ball. This made Craig the first player to score a six off his debut ball. Craig went on to take eight wickets, and was named Man of the Match after his debut Test match.
