A retd injured is not the same injury as a regular. The player may be able to return to play. This is true with Pollard (Ashwin), Mushfiqur (Polard), and Imam-ul-Haq. In these situations, the batter will be able to continue his innings later in game.
Ashwin
Many IPL fans were shocked when Ashwin ran back to the dressing rooms after being outed in the 19th Over of the match. He had just been part of a 68-run stand alongside Shimron Hismyer. Ashwin was out of commission and the live commentators had to confirm. After being struck by Avesh Kahn's delivery, Ashwin decided to take his retirement.
Ashwin's decision to leave the match has been questioned. Although many felt that Ashwin should have left the match due to personal reasons, there have been instances when some players abuse the batting substitution rules. Riyan Parag will now be Ashwin's replacement.
Mushfiqur
After playing for over a decade in T20I cricket, Mushfiqur Rahim has decided to retire from the format. After failing to deliver in the Asia Cup 2022, Mushfiqur Rahim made his decision. His childhood coach stated that he was trying hard in the nets to adapt to T20 cricket, and was also testing his character for success in T20 cricket.

Mushfiqur, who made his debut for Bangladesh in 2005, is their most veteran player. He has over a thousand runs in Test cricket. His first role was as a lower order batter. However, he quickly became a wicketkeeper. To reach the thousand-run mark, it took him 20 Tests. He was named captain in 2011 and has been captain for 3515 Tests. He has also been a part of 6697 ODI runs as well as 1495 T20I runs.
Pollard
After their opening two games in the ODI series, West Indies needs to win. With only two games left, the visitors are in a strong position to win after their first innings batting collapse. The defending champions lost their last two games and it is important that they win the final one. Both sides lost the first innings in disarray.
Despite the confusion that followed Pollard’s exit from the field in the final over, the right-hander was eventually able get back into the game to finish the game. Pollard was unable to take the field as West Indies bowled out in the final over, and this has caused some speculation about his health. While he didn't seem to be in pain, it appeared that he was suffering from an injury.
Imam-ul-Haq
After sustaining an injury to his elbow during the fourth ODI against England, Imam-ul-Haq, Pakistan's all-rounder, was taken to hospital. Even though he was in fantastic form recently, Imam was a significant casualty at the fourth International. As a precaution the injured cricketer was taken to x-rays.
Babar Azm replaced Imam-ul-Haq following his 13th over injury. The Pakistani team was trying to score 210 in order to even the series. Babar Azam and Fakhar Zaman played brilliant knocks as Pakistan regained the initiative and levelled the series.

Babul Supriyo
