There are many official rules to netball. For example, the goalkeeper of a goal must keep at least one of his feet inside the net's circle. It is against the rules to touch the ball with any player or their bodies, even with the goalkeeper. The ball can only be moved by a player for 1.5 steps. Only one person can shoot the ball and that player must be a Goal Attacker. If the ball falls through a ringed hoop it is a goal. Other rules of the game include that players cannot snag the ball from another player, travel with the ball, or hold it for more than three seconds.
Goal shooters must keep one foot in the circle
The umpire could be a player by raising his or her arms in the direction of play, and saying "advantage!" Before shooting, the goal shooter must place one foot in front of the circle. The ball must stay in the air for at most one second before scoring.
Goal keeper must block the shot
A key role in netball is the goalkeeper. Their primary job is to block shots aimed at the goalkeeper. They are identified by the initials they have on the backside of the court. They must be in the area closest to the net, the defensive third.

Contact is allowed
Contact between players is not strictly prohibited in netball. Contact between players is allowed only if there is no infringement to the play of another player and it is not intentional. Any contact between players that hinders the movement of an opponent is considered obstruction and may result in a penalty pass.
The goal-shooter must intercept the shot
The job of the goal shooter is to get the ball over the netball goalkeeper's goal. This is the most important goal, but there are additional rules.
One foot must be in the circle for the centre player
The first rule in ice hockey states that the centre player must always be within the circle. This rule takes effect from the sound of the whistle signalling the start. This rule is applicable to both players who are located in the centre.
Foul throws are considered to be foul throws
A number of restrictions are included in the official rules for netball. Before entering the court, players need to take out any jewelry. They must also file their nails short. They can also wear specific netball gloves, but these must be short.

Players are prohibited from wearing personal ornaments.
World Netball has adopted a policy against doping in sport. This is consistent with the WADA policy against the use banned substances or methods. This position is a reflection of a desire for fair competition and the welfare athletes. In addition, World Netball does not discriminate against athletes from countries outside of the organisation, and will accept non-members in international tournaments.
